WebNov 7, 2024 · If you manually saved to your hard drive, then the location of your save file is, %username%\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Save All save files will use the suffix .crp preceded by whatever you named the save as when you made the save. If you saved to the Steam Cloud, then you might be out of luck.

So yeah, as subject, I have saved my game frequently like a good boi and when I loaded it up tonight, half my highway is missing, roundabouts have literally vanished and buildings are no longer next to roads. It's the same on a recent autosave too.

Like last night, I played and saved the city and this evening I wanted to load it and guess what it disappeared from where I can load the cities. The interesting part is that the cities still exits in the saved cities folder with the correct day and time WebFinally managed to resurrect my old save! My system was too slow for it so I stopped playing years ago. Meanwhile, all the mods were outdated, missing, incompatible etc. After spending many, many hours going through mods and understanding how to fix, update, replace, and remove them, and voila :)

WebMar 8, 2024 · The save file is not dependent on mods to function. The few that I use have no dependencies like, say, More Vehicles. I can load any save file with or without Move It, including the OP's. This proves that it's not a mod problem, he could just have inadequate memory to load such a large city. It wouldn't break the save for you, but it would for him.

WebIt may be obvious but make sure the save folder is the same as your new ones. I don't know (and I don't think so) if the save file contains the exact path in its code. If you'd change a folder name somewhere, it could be fucked up. Did you retrieve them with a tool after a delete or a PC reset? With big cities it takes up a chunk of hdd space as your revisions add up, but you can always dispose of old saves if you don't need them anymore.
