WebMay 13, 2008 · It's not a bug, the dwarf trading needs to have the appraisal skill in order to see what the values are. Normally, they obtain it by looking at a large amount of stuff at the trade depot, but if the trader didn't bring much, then the appraisal skill would not increase. If the item is a BIN (cloth bin, for instance), make sure that everything in the bin is accepted in at least one available stockpile...
