WebJul 14, 2016 · This is definitely a laptop issue, the SFDC export is an HTML file with file name suffixed by .xls. Excel is clever enough to be able to open HTML files and coerce into a spreadsheet in memory. If the export file is big, Excel may run out of memory to convert from HTML to a spreadsheet.
