This blog post is is documentation on how to setup the DuetWifi with a Diamond hotend however it can be generalized to other multiple input - single output hotends.

WebI agree with your questioning, but I realized that the diamond hotend base of the mix is too short causing less problem of wasted material and heatsink apart, not to mention that there is the possibility of printing material supportable for media and not the fact of mixing colors, but use patterns of different color in the printing process.
