I've seen an Army guidence document from around 2024 that says it's exempt and only matters if it pushes savings over the £6000 threshold. It's to allow me to budget accordingly and not assign my bounty payment if needed to cover the loss of UC. It would seem logical to have the two benefits linked, perhaps with PIP being an additional element of UC, but you're right, it could be a double edged sword.
