WebbI did not. I reformatted again in NTFS and increased the bit size of the drive when I reformatted, if that makes sense. Just a drop down box. It's actually my nephew's xbox and I was only visiting for the weekend. I left the drive with his dad to give it a shot. Will update this thread once I've heard if it was fixed.

WebbI finally got the One S working again, simply by using another usb stick to put the update files on. My USB stick worked fine on another One S for update, but not on this particular console. So I put te update files on a different USB stick, and started the update: and it worked. So try using a different brand / make of USB stick in this problem.
