Web23 Mar 2024 · Thomas was sent to the port of Baltimore, Maryland in 1733 on the ship "Patapsco(e) Merchant", piloted byCaptain Darby Lux. On the same ship with him was Mary Passmore (spelled Parsmore) who later married John Dunnike (Dunnuck)in 1742 in the same church, St. John's, that Thomas and Rebecca Passmore were married. WebI have traced my lineage back to an ancestor who was transported in 1929 to Maryland on the Patapsco Merchant as a convict from the Newgate Prison in London. I'd like to learn more about him, such as what crime was committed, and whether they were sold into indentured servitude when they arrived, and if so, who bought them.
